At a glance

  • Exfoliate the day before; shave or wax at least 24 hours prior.
  • Arrive with clean skin and wear loose, dark clothing.
  • Moisturise daily and avoid sweating or swimming while your tan develops.

Before your appointment

  • Exfoliate gently the day before, focusing on elbows, knees and ankles.
  • Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior.
  • Arrive with clean skin — no moisturiser, deodorant or makeup.
  • Wear loose, dark clothing.

During your appointment

Every spray tan at Fuse begins with a short consultation so your colour is matched to your undertone and the look you want. Your therapist hand-applies the tan in a private suite, adjusting depth to suit you — from soft everyday warmth to a deeper finish for an event.

Straight afterwards

  • Wait the recommended development time before rinsing — your therapist will give you personalised timing.
  • Avoid sweating, exercise and swimming while your tan develops.
  • Keep clothing loose until your first rinse.

Making your tan last

  • Pat skin dry after showering rather than rubbing.
  • Moisturise every day to help colour fade evenly.
  • Limit long hot baths, saunas and chlorinated pools.
  • Skip exfoliating products until you are ready for your tan to fade.

Planning for an event

Book your spray tan a day or two before a big occasion so the colour has time to develop and settle. If you are also having makeup, have your tan first.
